VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An adult and a juvenile have been arrested in relation to a shots fired incident in Vincennes where a residential building was struck by gunfire, the adult has received a preliminary charge of attempted murder.
That’s according to Vincennes Police who announced the arrest of 19-year-old Jean Daniel Pierre Jr as well as an unnamed juvenile in relation to the incident.
Police said the incident occurred Monday night at 11:06 p.m. in the 200 block of Rousillon Street. Investigating officers discovered that several shots reportedly struck a residence.
Pierre and the juvenile were reportedly both involved and arrested.
Pierre Jr. has been booked into the Knox County Jail on the preliminary charge of attempted murder. The juvenile was taken to Southwest Indiana Regional Youth Village.
Police noted that no one was injured in the shooting.
Police thanked the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Knox County High Tech Crime Unit, and the Knox County Probation department for assisting in the investigation and arrest.
