FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — When you hear the phrase, Remarkable Women, is there anyone specific that comes to mind?
It could be a family member, a friend, a co-worker, or someone in the community who you find to be extraordinary.
This month, you have the chance to get that woman the recognition she deserves as part of this year’s Remarkable Women contest, which kicked off Wednesday.
2023 marks the sixth year of this Nexstar Media Initiative. The goal is to honor women who go above and beyond in their community. Once nominations are received a panel will narrow the list down to four local finalists and a winner will be announced in April 2024.
Our winner last year was Dr. Janie Myers, who was able to travel to California for a celebration of remarkable women from around the country.
