TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Team of Mercy is hosting its ‘Stand Against Suicide’ event in the 12 Points area on March 12th.
Multiple resource tables will be set up in the historic 12 Points area to raise awareness and educate the public on suicide prevention and mental health.
Volunteers with Team of Mercy will be in the area holding ‘Stand Against Suicide’ signs to raise awareness.
Team of Mercy Executive Director Christina Crist said that she hopes getting people out to the event will help end the stigma around mental health.
“We’re not asking for anything except for support,” Crist said. “We want to show the community love and show the community how we unify together and try to combat the stigma of mental health and suicide.”
The event will take place on March 12th in 12 Points from noon to 3 p.m.
