Oct 22 (Reuters) – Poland on Thursday committed to join a HealthAI-led global network for governing the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, as Europe rolls out new AI rules amid growing concerns over unpredictable AI behaviour.
• Poland would become the second European Union member state after Portugal to join the Global Regulatory Network (GRN), whose members also include Britain, India, Brazil, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Zambia and Peru.
• GRN members have access to AI healthcare tools reviewed by regulators, as well as a real-time warning system for sharing reports of harmful incidents.
• “There is no fixed timeline for Poland’s potential accession,” a HealthAI spokesperson said, adding that the agreement establishes a one-year cooperation framework.
