ROBINSON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Three people have been arrested following an Illinois State Police investigation into a homicide in Crawford County.
According to ISP, the investigation began on June 22, when the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department requested state assistance in the investigation of a missing person. That person was 55-year-old Ryan L. Waggoner, of Lerna.
On June 27, investigating officials from the ISP Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 8, reportedly found human remains at a rural address in Crawford County. Forensic analysis is being completed to confirm the identity of the remains.
Three people have been arrested in connection to the investigation, all from Robinson. Those three people and their charges are as follows;
- Angela S. Newcomb, 58
- Charged with:
- Concealment of a homicidal death
- A class 3 felony
- Obstructing justice
- A class 4 felony
- Concealment of a homicidal death
- Charged with:
- Lance T. Newcomb, 24
- Charged with:
- Concealment of a homicidal death
- A class 3 felony
- Concealment of a homicidal death
- Charged with:
- Hiley A. Schulte, 52
- Charged with:
- Concealment of a homicidal death
- Charged with:
Assisting in the investigation and arrests were the Crawford County Sheriff, the Cumberland County Sheriff, and Robinson Police.
ISP reports the three are in custody of the Crawford County Jail, and that at this time no further information will be released.
