TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A sewing and crochet event in Terre Haute to help wildlife will still go on, but with some changes.
We recently reported on an upcoming effort to create items for animals impacted by the fires in Australia.
Quilting instructor Tina Coplan says the group leading the effort has taken a pause because it has received so many items that it’s having trouble shipping them all.
Therefore, instead of making items for animals in Australia, volunteers can make cat hammocks, dog blankets and cat toys. The items will then be distributed to local animal organizations.
The events will take place Wednesday from noon to 3 P.M. and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the JoAnn Fabric and Craft store in Terre Haute.
