TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local boy continued a tradition on Friday of delivering Christmas cheer to children in the hospital.
12-year-old Owen Farnsworth and his helpers sewed 14 tote bags for Union Hospital’s pediatric unit.
The tote bags were filled with books, toys, blankets, coloring books, and crayons. Owen and his grandmother have been delivering these totes for a number of years.
It’s something Owen said he plans to continue.
“When I help the children now I feel like kind of good about it cause you make them smile and stuff like that,” Owen said.
The tote bags were made during the “Sewin’ with Owen” sewing class earlier this month.
