VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Camp Memiki is a day camp supported by Good Samaritan Hospice designed to host children who have experienced the death of a loved one.
The camp, directed at children between 5 and 12 years of age, will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 9 at Camp Wildwood in Vincennes. Participants are welcome to enjoy activities like games, art therapy, nature walks, and more. Camp Memiki looks to provide children with the skills needed to equip children to manage grief in a healthy way while also maintaining beneficial coping mechanisms.
The camp is free for any child suffering from the loss of a loved one.
