TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Update: According to Indiana State Police the driver of a motorcycle involved in a police pursuit has died.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames said at 7:10 p.m. Friday a trooper tried to pull over the motorcycle driver, 24-year-old Kaleb Long of Terre Haute, for a traffic violation, but Long would not stop and a pursuit began.
According to Ames, Long collided with an SUV at the intersection of Third and Cherry near the Vigo County Courthouse. He died from his injuries.
A crash reconstruction team was called to the scene.
No other injuries have been reported.
