SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) When a tornado hit Sullivan Friday night, one of the buildings destroyed was the local VFW.
A helicopter that was flown during the War in Vietnam had been perched in the air beside the building, but during the tornado it disappeared.
The helicopter was later found north of the VFW in three pieces.
According to VFW member Andy Jones, Hallador Energy Company and Blann and Son LLC helped return the helicopter to the VFW property.
