VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — With Indiana slowly reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic, the City of Vincennes is looking ahead to its 4th of July fireworks display.
According to Mayor Joe Yochum, as of now the fireworks display will go on; however, some changes may be necessary in the event the downtown celebration and parade need to be canceled. Yochum is looking into changing the location of the fireworks to allow residents to view the display from their own yards.
He said this will allow for better social distancing and will still give everyone the opportunity to celebrate their independence during this unprecedented 4th of July.
