TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Family night at Ryves Hall Youth Center had a spooky turnout Wednesday evening.
October’s family night theme was trunk or treat. Organizations like Fifth Third Bank, Wabash Valley Railroad Museum, Project Never Broken, Wabash Valley Misfits, and much more were passing out candy to all the ghouls and goblins. The event also included games and activities for the children and adults.
Program Director Jim Pinkstaff said he enjoys helping out the community.
“You know one of my goals is to not only continue serving the kids as we have, but really get the families involved as well,” Pinkstaff said. “Personally Halloween one of my favorite times a year. I love costumes. I love seeing the kids dressed up and you know it’s just a lot of joy on their faces.”
Another Halloween event will be held on Thursday October 20th at Deming Park when the Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Department will host a trunk or treat event. It will take place from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Children are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costume.
