TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Do you want to start a food-related business?
Launch Terre Haute is accepting business startup ideas for its Launch P@d competition. The Launch P@d is a business pitch competition, and this round they will be focusing on food entrepreneurs. The winner receives access, at a reduced rental cost, to the former Cinnabon location in the Haute City Center mall.
Launch P@d was developed from a group of volunteers on the Economic Development pillar of the See You in Terre Haute 2025 Plan. A partnership with this group, Launch Terre Haute, the Indiana Small Business Development Center and local business support allows Launch P@d to provide potential entrepreneurs a space to bring new ideas to West Central Indiana.

Launch Terre Haute COO Jessica Cox said folks at varying levels of experience could apply.
“Anybody who might have an itch to expand their current business, maybe they’re doing some catering or doing things out of their home, or if there’s an entrepreneur that just wants to do a start-up and is interested in moving their ideas forward, this would be a great opportunity for them,” Cox said.
“The Indiana Small Business Development Center will be reviewing their business plan, kind of honing in on their pitches and going through financials with them,” said Cox. “And then on October 25th, we’ll actually have a pitch competition here at Launch Terre Haute. And then on that evening, we’ll decide who the winner of the competition is.”
The deadline to apply is October 11. For more information visit the Launch Terre Haute website here.
