CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Louisiana man was injured following a single vehicle crash on I-70 in Clark County Saturday.
According to Illinois State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 4:19 p.m. near mile marker 134 of I-70.
Troopers say that 28-year-old Fredrick Knighten of Grambling, LA, was driving a Ford Mustang east on I-70 when he drove off the roadway to the left, crossing the grass median as well as both westbound lanes before striking a tree on the far side of the road.
Knighten was flown to a regional hospital with what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
