WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Washington Police are reminding drivers to lock their cars if leaving them unattended after arresting a man for allegedly stealing a vehicle from a gas station.
In a Facebook post, The Washington Police Department announced the arrest of Kyle E. Kalaher.
According to police, the situation began with a report of a vehicle being stolen from Chuckles Gas Station at the intersection of SR 57 and East Walnut Street.
A Washington County Sheriff’s detective later spotted the vehicle driving on Edwardsport Road, The Sheriff’s Office and Washington Police reportedly stopped the vehicle and arrested Kalaher without incident.
Kalaher has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.
