ROBINSON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Lincoln Trail College announced Wednesday it will begin offering a ground school course on March 14.
Ground school is one of the first steps to earning a private pilot’s license, a news release said. The eight-week course, in collaboration with Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Business and Industry and the Crawford County Airport, is “designed to give students the information they need to prepare to take the private pilot written test”.
Howard Hunt, who has over 30 years of pilot experience, will teach the course.
The ground school course will begin March 14, the release said, and will meet on Monday and Thursday evenings through May 5 at the Crawford County Airport. An information session will be held at 6 p.m. on March 1 at the airport for those interested in learning more about the course.
