TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Department of Health has announced that a state-sponsored Strike Team Covid-19 testing and vaccination site will be opening in early February.
The clinic will be held at the St. Mark United Church of Christ located at 475 S Fruitridge Avenue in the church’s gymnasium. The clinic will be open from noon to 8 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Feb. 2 until Saturday, Feb. 5.
Visitors to the clinic are asked to wear a mask, there will be separate entrances for testing and vaccination.
Those looking to get vaccinated can choose between either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines. But there are age restrictions, Pfizer is available for ages 12 and up, while Moderna is only for those age 18 and older. Pediatric Pfizer vaccines are also available for children ages 5 through 11.
Both PCR Testing and rapid antigen tests will be administered.
Residents with mobility issues can remain in their cars and a strike team member will come to them.
No appointment is necessary, but you can register ahead of time. To register for a vaccination visit Ourshot.in.gov while testing appointments can be set at Scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov
If an individual will be getting a second dose or booster shot it’s asked that they bring their vaccine card with them, but it is not necessary.
