TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Terre Haute police investigated two stabbings Tuesday.
The first occurred around 10:30 a.m. when a victim was being held against his will at gunpoint in the 2700 block of N. 12th Street. When the gunman put down the weapon for a moment, the victim grabbed a knife and cut him “in the neck area,” according to police.
The suspect was transported to a nearby hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. His name has not yet been released.
A second stabbing was reported around 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of Maple. Jensen Kelch was arrested for battery with a deadly weapon. She was transported to the Vigo County Jail where she is being held without bond.
Police said the victim suffered non life-threatening injuries.
