GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Officers with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office took on a new position of working Thursday in order to help raise money for a new program.
Officers waited tables at Jo Etta Pizza Villa in the Jasonville and Linton locations. This event was held to raise money for the project lifesaver program, which is a public safety program designed to protect and locate those diagnosed with any cognitive disorder.
Bryan Woodall with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office said with the help of donations, this project can go far.
“And being able to do this helps keep it, the project lifesaver at zero cost,” Woodall said. “This is going to fund batteries. This is going to fund the manpower hours it takes and the equipment it takes to locate the loved ones as needed.”
Those who were unable to attend tonight’s event can call the Greene County Sheriff’s Office to make a donation at (812) 384-4442.
