VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Knox County Public Library will be hosting two mobile vaccination and testing clinics from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the McGrady-Brockman House on the library’s campus in Vincennes, Ind.
Two mobile units with awnings and signage will be run by the Indiana Department of Health, librarian Emily Bunion said. The address for the clinics is 614 N. 7th Street and Bunion said to park in the big parking lot by the McGrady-Brockman building.
Dr. Alan Stewart with the Knox County Health Department said both the Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer vaccines will be available on both days. Additionally, you do not need to make an appointment and you do not need to be a Knox County resident to get vaccinated or tested, Stewart said.
The state contacted the Knox County Health Department to find an area to set up a weekend vaccination clinic area, Bunion said. When the Knox County Public Library Board was asked for permission, they happily agreed.
“We are just very excited to be providing this service to the community,” Bunion said. “We are happy to help.”
