PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – As students get ready to return to school, one elementary school in Paris decided to provide free haircuts to it’s students.
Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the elementary school will welcome students to tour the building. During that time, students will be offered a free haircut.
Superintendent, Dr. Jeremy Larson said giving back to students can make their schools and community stronger.
“I want our community to know that we really just believe in the entire experience of school. So, we think that when a kid can feel good about coming in the doors of the school. They’re going to have higher levels of achievement. They’re going to want to be here, and so we think it’s valuable that we can provide this type of opportunity just to make a kid feel good,” Dr. Larson said.
School officials hope to continue the free hair cuts in the future.
