VIGO Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vigo County middle and high schoolers could return to the classroom five days a week starting next month.
The recommendation will be up for discussion at Monday night’s school board meeting.
Middle and high school students have been on a four day schedule, with remote learning days on Monday.
School officials said the recommendation is based on low community spread in schools as well as high vaccine availability for school staff.
Superintendent Dr. Rob Haworth said he believes students benefit more from in-person learning.
School officials add their goal is to no go back to four days a week or A/B scheduling.
If this recommendation is agreed upon, the five day week would begin April 5.
