TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Prince of Pease Missionary Baptist Church held its third annual toy extravaganza Saturday.
First Lady Asira Evans said their mission is to be a blessing to the community and to provide food, love, and joy to the Terre Haute community.
The event was held at the Booker T. Washington Community Center and included activities for the kids, including face painting and bounce houses.
Organizers say they enjoy putting a smile on the face of others and provided dozens of toys to the families.
“It was a vision given to me, to just be a blessing to families,” Evans said. “During this trying time, lack there off, it’s just an awesome feeling for a child to wake up in the morning and have something under the tree.”
Organizers say they are already planning to make next years toy extravaganza bigger and better. To contribute to the organization or to find out our you can get involved click here.
