TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — St. Francis K9 Rescue at Ollie’s Canine Campus is hosting a “Paws and Paint” event to raise money to continue caring for dogs still in search of their ‘Fur-ever’ home.
The fundraiser will take place on November 10 from 6:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Northside Community Church.
For a fee of $45 per person, attendants will paint a canvas including a silhouette of animals with instructor Robyn Michelle from Chocolate Polkadots. Cookies and water will be provided. In addition, there will be a raffle for a chance to win cash. Raffle tickets are one for $1 or six tickets for $5. There will also be a bake sale and artwork created by the rescue dog for sale.
All ages are welcome. Registration in advance is required.
While the rescue no longer takes in new animals, they vow to continue caring for the ones still searching for the ‘fur-ever’ home.
“We’re still vowing to take care of the ones that we have. We aren’t giving up on them. They are still near and dear to our hearts. They will be here until they eventually find their homes, hopefully, sooner rather than later,” Missy Cuffle, Adoption Coordinator for Ollie’s Canine Campus and St. Francis K9 Rescue said.
All proceeds of the event go directly to St. Francis K9 Rescue.
“The money’s going to go directly to our rescue dogs. All 17 of them still need help with vaccines and just regular vet care, and the normal food and cleaning upkeep and boarding,” Cuffle said.
For more information or to register for the event you can call Ollie’s Canine Campus at 812-814-4553 ext. 105 or visit Ollie’s in person or on Facebook.
