BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One of Indiana’s largest single-day festivals returned Saturday, bringing thousands to downtown Brazil.
The Route 40 festival is home to over 150 food and craft vendors, booths for local businesses, and a fun zone for the kids. One of the key things the festival does is bring publicity to the many local businesses in the Wabash Valley.
Josh Alsip is an organizer for this event, and he says he hopes this event continues to grow for years to come.
“I just had my first daughter last year, and I hope when she is all grown up, she is able to help carry on the tradition and show off what we have to offer.”
He also wanted to thank all of the volunteers and staff that made this event possible and continue to flourish.
“An event like this would have no chance of happening without countless hours of work and preparation behind the scenes. Those people are the backbone of this festival and I want to shine light on them because I know they won’t do it themselves,” added Alsip.
