CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Lovers of the savory satisfaction that is BBQ are invited to get their fill while supporting a good cause at the same time with the return of a long-running fundraiser.
The 74th annual Clark County 4-H BBQ will take place on Saturday, September 9 at the Martinsville Community Center. According to a release, all guests will be treated to a delicious meal of barbecued pork as well as the side dishes of a baked potato, green beans, bread, and even ice cream for dessert.
Each meal will include a bottle of water to drink as well for the total cost of just $10. Tickets can be purchased from any Clark County 4-H’er, or at the Clark County Extension Office in Marshall.
In addition to the food options, a number of 4-H kids will be performing entertainment throughout the event which lasts from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. CDT.
Funds raised through the program will go toward supporting activities like the Clark County 4-H workshops, the annual carnival, and 4-H Show.
Guests can choose to dine in on the second floor of the community center, or they can also get their food to-go using the drive-up system in the North Alley near the firehouse. For questions or to request specific accommodations to participate call the extension office at 217-826-5422.
