TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Locals who enjoy a good bourbon, listen up, the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra is going to be hosting an event that may be of interest.
The THSO Bourbon & Blues event will be held at the Hulman Center on Friday, August 25. The event will bring in at least 11 vendors, with at least 23 varieties of whiskey and bourbon available to sample.
While guests get their fill of spirits, music will fill the air, performed by the Men of Note Jazz Band. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with VIP entry beginning an hour and a half earlier at 4:00 p.m. that day.
Catered food stations, a cash bar, a unique silent auction, and more will be scattered around the area as well.

How the program works
Ticket holders will be given a THSO lanyard and a tasting pass when they enter the venue. Passes allow a person 10 tastings. However, if you would like to taste a bit more, VIP passes provide enough punches for 12 tastings. Guests will also be assigned seating upon arrival. Guests can request who they would like to sit with when purchasing tickets.
Tickets can be purchased online at the THSO website here, or by calling the THSO office at 812-242-8476. VIP tickets cost $75 for tasting, and $50 for non-alcoholic. General admission tickets are $55 for tasting and $30 for non-alcoholic.
