CLAY COUNTY (WTWO) — Changes will be coming to Clay County Schools this 2023-24 school year.
Clay County Schools held its monthly school board meeting and welcomed its new superintendent Timothy Rayle. He already has a few goals set for the upcoming school year.
Those goals include increasing trust and confidence, implementation of new ideas, and creating a supportive and positive district.
Another goal is more communication with parents and their children. To do that, Rayle is creating a podcast and five minute focus update videos to inform them of things that are going on in the school system.
“I can’t wait for students to get here. I know they’re, they think summer is too fast and I think it’s not fast enough. So, I’m excited for students to be coming in on August 9th and look forward to them being here,” Rayle said.
