TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local Terre Haute soup kitchen is now offering their services more than once a month.
St. Benedict Soup Kitchen will host their free Saturday breakfasts twice a month going forward. This is possible because of the increases in volunteers that the church now has.
This is now the tenth year that this soup kitchen has been offering up its services to the Terre Haute community.
“A lot of soup kitchens are closed on the weekends. People get hungry on Saturday and Sunday. At least we can do our small part to help on Saturdays,” said Sandy Cline, a member of the St. Rose of Viterbo Fraternity.
Be sure to check them out on the second and the fourth Saturday each month from 9:30 to 11:00 to enjoy a free homecooked breakfast.
