VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — In an effort to support local students, WTWO is holding a Stuff the Bus fundraiser for those in need.
Students are out of school for the summer, but it’s important to make sure they have the supplies they need when they return to class.
“There are a lot of students that need this help. We’ve done pack it back where we gave food to the kids for the summertime but just having the quality school supplies and being there to help these kids out to get a great education, that’s what this program’s all about,” said WTWO General Manager Tim Sanders.
On June 15, a school bus will be parked outside of the Terre Haute Children’s Museum from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will be filled with various school supplies and materials for students. CASY (Chances And Services For Youth) will be working to distribute the supplies to local schools.
For those interested in donating, the following supplies are requested to support local students in need:

- Pens/Markers
- Pencil Sharpeners
- Erasers
- Ruler
- Notebooks
- Paper
- Crayons
- Paints
- Folders/Binders
- Pencil Pouch/Box
- Backpack
- Lunch Box
- Note Cards
- Small Locks for Lockers
