TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local ice cream shop is awarded a distinct award, for the second year in a row.
What’s the Scoop in Terre Haute was awarded its second Golden Scoop Award from Hershey’s Creamery.
It’s for sales and marketing, of Hershey’s Ice Cream Products. The shop is located at 5040 South 7th Street in Terre Haute.
Owner Jaimie Ellis said she is very grateful for all the support they’ve received from their customers.
“I am so thankful for all of our loyal customers, who have supported my business throughout these last, almost 3 years, especially during the time of covid. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it were not for them,” Ellis expressed. “And I’m just really thankful for the support, not only of our customers, but also of our friends and our family, and everyone who has been here to help us grow our business.”
What’s the Scoop, serves 48 flavors and is open from noon until about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. They also offer ice cream cakes and make milkshakes and sundaes well.
