TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Sycamore fans will soon have a signature brew to drink while enjoying ISU athletic events thanks to a local partnership.
Indiana State University Athletics and the Terre Haute Brewing Company have teamed up to create the new Crossroads Cream Ale. The cans will sport sycamore colors and the ISU Athletics logo.
While the new brew will debut at a special event at the Terre Haute Brewing Company on Saturday, January 28, at 11:30 a.m., it will also be sold at Hulman Center and during ISU home athletic events.
The school notes the beer will not be marketed directly to students, instead saying it’s designed for alumni and sports fans of legal drinking age.
“We are extremely excited to announce this partnership with the Terre Haute Brewing Company in our first partnership of this fashion,” said Athletic Director Sherard Clinkscales. “I would like to thank Philip Rossillo and THBC for their loyalty and interest in Indiana State Athletics and for their support with this latest creation. There’s no doubt that Crossroads Cream Ale will be a fan favorite at our events moving forward.”
During the debut event, the public will be invited to get a taste of the cream ale as well as have the first opportunity to purchase the product.
Brewers describe the ale as a refreshing everyday beer, being made using barley and corn, and lightly hopped using magnum hops.
“Similar partnerships exist throughout the country but having two longstanding pillars within not only Terre Haute but the state of Indiana makes this particular partnership special,” Assistant A.D./Sponsorships Logan Kidd said. “I am excited to see this on shelves across the Wabash Valley and at our home games this year.”
In addition to sporting events, fans can also purchase the product directly from the brewery or at select local retailers including Baesler’s, Seventh and 70, House of Spirits, and Liquor First Seelyville.
