TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Local college students are hoping to bring the community together this week for the holidays through a project.
A marketing class at Indiana State University will be hosting a holiday market this Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Vigo County Courthouse featuring local vendors.
Additionally, four Christmas trees will be lit, each representing a different college located here in Terre Haute.
The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce asked the class to come up with ideas to promote positive visions of Terre Haute.
“I think this holiday market is definitely kind of us trying to show the community, ‘hey, you have some really good potential’,” Michaela Lynch, a student in the marketing class at ISU, said. “Here’s these amazing things. You have amazing businesses. You have amazing entertainment.”
The class has been working on the event since the start of the semester.
