TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A traffic stop for expired plates led police to make two arrests over drug-related charges in Terre Haute.
Indiana State Police said the stop was made at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and North 24th Street. A search of the vehicle resulted in police finding marijuana, paraphernalia, cocaine, and meth.
The driver of the vehicle, Thomas Boatman, 51, of Clinton, was arrested and has been charged with:
- Possession of methamphetamine w/ prior conviction
- A level 5 felony
- Possession of methamphetamine
- A level 6 felony
- Possession of cocaine
- A level 6 felony
- Possession of marijuana
- A class B misdemeanor
- Possession of paraphernalia
- A class A misdemeanor
A passenger in the vehicle, Eric Wise, 47, of Terre Haute was also arrested and charged with the level 6 felony of possession of methamphetamine.
Both men were booked into the Vigo County Jail.
