PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Four people were injured after a dump-truck vs passenger vehicle crash in Parke County Wednesday.
According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 10:52 a.m. Wednesday along US 36 just one mile west of Rockville.
The sheriff said a Ford F150, driven by a 17-year-old male from Kingman, was headed eastbound on US 36 when the driver attempted to make a U-turn. While attempting the turn, the truck was struck by a dump truck on the driver’s side.
The F150 was carrying two teenage passengers as well. The driver was flown to Methodist Hospital, while a 16-year-old from Cayuga was flown to Peyton Manning Hospital. A 16-year-old male from Perrysville was taken to Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
The driver of the dump truck was taken to Union Hospital in Clinton for treatment of minor injuries.
Parke County EMS, the Rockville Police Department, Rockville Fire, and Indiana State Police assisted at the scene.
