BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – UPDATE: Brazil Police Chief Clint McQueen confirmed that a suspect is in custody for allegedly robbing Riddell National Bank on National Ave. in Brazil on Thursday
After a brief pursuit on foot, officers apprehended Matthew Craig, 30-years-old of Clay County, who being held in the Clay County jail and is being held without bond.
Chief McQueen said police were able to use surveillance footage from inside the bank to narrow down the search for the suspect.
Chief McQueen did not believe there was any active threat to the community and said all activity reported was isolated to the bank.
Riddell National Bank is open for business as of Friday morning.
