TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Finzel’s Mastertech in Terre Haute is expanding its operations with a upcoming move to a new, larger location.
The auto repair facility is currently located at the corner of 7th Street and East Davis Drive in Terre Haute. The new location will be right across the street, still at the same crossroads.
Owner Steve Finzel said the new location will allow for the operations to be all under one roof and will cut costs by four times that of the current building and operation costs.
Finzel said conditions for technicians will be improved with some new bay features.
“For these hot months that we’ve been experiencing here in June, July and August, we’re actually going to have the bays air-conditioned,” Finzel said. “We’ll be able to obviously not be sweaty, stinky guys climbing in and out of cars, but they’ll be able to be completely focused too throughout the day instead of being completely worn out by 2:00, 3:00 in the afternoon.”
Finzel said new features for customers will showcase the quality of work being done at the facility with comparable aesthetics.
“We’re going to have a drive-thru drop-off lane where you’ll be able to drop the car off no matter what the weather is like,” Finzel said .”We’re going to have a waiting area that will be bigger so if you’re there with your family and kids, you’ll have an area you can go to spend that (time), if you need to work on your computer we’ll have a business desk area.”
The plan is for operations to move to the new location this fall. The current Finzel’s Mastertech buildings will be torn down and the land will be up for sale.
