TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO)- Catholic Charities hosted their 2nd annual Quick Quack 5k Trail Run at Griffin Bike Park.
Over 100 runners ran through unique obstacles during their 5k such as pump tracks and floating bridges.
Catholic Charities helps to provide shelter, youth programs, nutritious foods, as well as personal/household items to those in need.
Assistant Agency Director Jennifer Buell said it’s important to have fundraiser events that the community can enjoy.
“We provide services to approximately 40,000 individuals each year and it takes a little bit of fundraising to do that,” Buell said. “We enjoy having fun events like the Quick Quack Trail Run to be one of those fundraiser.”
Buell said runners were awarded with a rubber duck following the 5k.
