LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Robinson man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Lawrence County Illinois Monday.
According to Illinois State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of Illinois Route 1 and 1650 North.
Investigating troopers report that James R. Love, 76, of Robinson, Illinois was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. Love had been driving a Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Illinois Route 1 when for an unknown reason, the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a Toyota Minivan that had been driving northbound.
A 27-year-old male passenger from the minivan was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Lawrence County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
