PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Wednesday evening, Horizon Health in Paris sponsored its annual Twilight Walk in honor of nurses.
It took place at the Edgar County Courthouse. The walk is a tribute to active and retired nurses. And remembers nurses, who’ve passed away. Participants could purchase a luminary to honor nurses of their choice. They were displayed on the lawn
Chief Nursing Officer Rachel Kelley said why the walk is very important.
“This is a beautiful event,” Kelley stated. “It’s very special to us and gives us the opportunity to honor all nurses and the hard work that they do. And the many differences in lives that they touch.”
