KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A potential 16 new jobs will be created in Knox County thanks to a recent facility expansion at the Basiloid Bicknell location.
That’s according to a release from the Knox County Economic Development group. Basiloid plans to invest more than $1.6 million to upgrade and expand its facility at 7382 Russell Drive in Bicknell. The expansion is reportedly enough to double the current production space and add administrative offices.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation recently committed an investment of up to $100,000 in the form of incentive-based tax credits. The Corporation says the credits are performance-based, meaning the company is eligible to claim incentives once the new positions have been filled.
The Bicknell City Council also approved a ten-year tax abatement to support the project.
Those looking to apply for the new positions can do so either through the companies office in Bicknell or by emailing them to request an application.
