PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One person was flown to a hospital with what police describe as serious bodily injuries after a single-vehicle crash in Parke County Saturday.
According to a press release from the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, at the intersection of CR 275 south and CR 600 west.
Deputies report that the vehicle’s driver, 34-year-old Justin Babyak of Mecca, Ind. was allegedly intoxicated at the time. Babyak was arrested and taken to Parke County Jail
The passenger of the vehicle was flown to a hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash.
Babyak was charged with operating while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.
