LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One man was transported by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital Tuesday after his vehicle was hit by a train in Linton, Ind.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Matthew Pugh, 23, of Carlisle, Ind., was driving south on County Road 1375 W. near the intersection of County Road 50 N. when the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Jan. 11.
It was around this time when Pugh’s 2021 Dodge Charger was struck by a train on the passenger side, a police report said. Pugh, according to the report, was taken by ambulance to the Greene County General Hospital and then transported by Air Evac 39 to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.
