TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Vigo County School Corporation says a rumor of a weapon on the campus of Woodrow Wilson Middle School was reported on Friday.
VCSC says a search was conducted and it was found to not be credible.
The school corporation believes the rumor to be connected to a nationwide TikTok trend.
Viral posts on the social media platform about unconfirmed threats of school violence raised concerns nationwide Friday.
VCSC says security has been enhanced and the school corporation will continue to investigate all rumors and reports.
