SULLIVAN COUNTY (WTWO/WAWV) — This week marks the ninth anniversary of the unsolved death of 85-year-old Lowell Badger of Sullivan County.
The retired farmer was found dead in his rural Sullivan County home on the morning of Dec. 8, 2012. A gray John D. Brush Company safe and a a 46” LCD Sony Bravia TV were taken from Badger’s home.
Since Badger’s death, Indiana State Police, with assistance from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, have been investigating. Detectives have looked into hundreds of tips, conducted hundreds of interviews and examined many much of the land and bodies of water throughout Sullivan and surrounding counties.
Investigators have said they strongly believe someone in the community has information related to this case, and urge them to come forward. A reward of approximately $30,000 has been established and available for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Badger’s death.
