TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield awarded Terre Haute Catholic Charities a $108,000 check to support its Mobile Pantry distributions in West Central Indiana.
These distributions provide food to people that are struggling with food insecurities.
John Etling, Agency Director for Catholic Charities, said that partnerships like this are needed to provide assistance to those in need.
“The only way that we’re going to make this goal of ours to eliminate childhood hunger is by partnering,” Etling said. “Not just with organizations here locally, but organizations that come into our community that provide services.”
41,000 people in our area have a food insecurity.
