TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A new recreational attraction is coming to Collett Park in Terre Haute.
The Collett Park Neighborhood Association announced the construction of a new futsal court.
It will be built along the northern side of the park on the western set of tennis courts which the association says are underutilized.
It will include a reconstructed hard court, new paint and fencing. Indiana Futsal is providing the goals for the court.
“The abandoned tennis court was just deterioriating so we took that opportunity to kind of improve the area. We want to make Collett Park a diamond,” Ann Welch, President of the Collett Park Neighboard Association said.
The association says a number of donors helped raise funds for the project. The futsal court is the first project in a series of improvements to Collett Park.
