BICKNELL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Members of the Bicknell Elk Lodge in Bicknell, Ind., gathered Saturday to celebrate the organization’s 100th anniversary.
The Bicknell Elk Lodge is a fraternal organization that provides service to the community, such as helping veterans, visiting nursing homes, donating to cancer research programs and providing grants. Saturday’s anniversary celebration included dinner, live music and a Chinese raffle.
“It makes us feel good because we’re helping our communities and we’re helping our veterans, we’re helping our elderly and it’s just a good organization,” Elks member Mike Hennette said. “It makes me feel good, it makes everybody feel good. Makes us feel proud”
