PARKE COUNTY, Ind. – More than $14,000 was raised in Ivy Tech’s Fifth Annual Parke County Rumble motorcycle ride and show on Saturday, June 26. The event was hosted by Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute and Thirty-Six Saloon in Rockville.
Funds raised from the event will support educational opportunities for Parke County residents, including Parke County high school students who are earning an Ivy Tech college credential.
The motorcycle ride began at noon at the Thirty-Six Saloon. Riders toured scenic Parke County, stopping at sponsored stops in the area including Mansfield Village Bar & Grill, The Ranch, Harrison’s Tavern, Bridgeton Mill, and Montezuma Fish & Game Club. After the ride, the motorcycle show was held at Thirty-Six Saloon.
Additional event sponsors included Overpeck Gas, Futerex Industries, IBEW Local 725, Hartman Motorsports, Parke County Community Foundation, and the Parke County Learning Center Board.
The Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute Foundation anticipates awarding more than $300,000 in scholarships for Ivy Tech students in the academic year 2021-2022.
