DUGGER, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A housefire before 7 a.m. Monday resulted in a young child being airlifted to a local hospital, according to Chief Deputy Jason Bobbitt of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department.
The home was located on County Road 700E north of Dugger. “A child inside of the house did suffer some burns, but the extent is not known,” Bobbitt said. He reported no other injuries.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the Indiana Fire Marshall.
Among those responding to the call were the Sullivan Fire Department, the Dugger Fire Department and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department.
